One such is an African archbishop who must be an ignorant nutcase and my immediate reaction to his comments and accusations is simply, why hasn't the Vatican or his Holiness spoken out against him. I refer to a Catholic archbishop of Mozambique. He is Francisco Chimoio, archbishop of Maputo. He has accused European condom makers of sending condoms to Africa that have been deliberately contaminated with HIV. He has stated that "They are doing this, in order to finish quickly the African people." There are some 19 million people living in Mozambique and one in 6 people is already suffering from HIV. Pope Benedict XVI accepts only abstinence and fidelity, within marriage, as the way in which the world can fight HIV/AIDS.

Gentlemen, deaths are mounting by the minute. Rome's stance regarding Condoms is unrelenting. Condoms could vastly decrease the death rates, if only the Catholic church would sanction the distribution.
